ARCore is Google’s augmented reality platform to compete against Apple’s ARKit. This is an environment where developers can create apps and augmented reality games based on Unity, Unreal, Java, and OpenGL.

In order to expand this platform, Google has partnered with other manufacturers that will make their mobile compatible. And among the main allies, we have Samsung.

ARCore compatible devices

In fact, very few devices are currently compatible with ARCore. It takes a powerful processor and synchronizes the sensors of the device to be adapted to the augmented reality.

Of all the hundreds of devices with Android Nougat or higher, only five are compatible with ARCore:
