It seems that the latest version of Apple’s mobile operating system has gone well in general terms. According to the website Mixpanel Trends, after completing a week of availability, iOS 11 is already present in 25% of Apple’s active mobile devices.
Although it may be a significant figure, the site indicated that this time users have not jumped to download iOS 11 as fast as they did with iOS 10.
Recall that even iOS 10 set a record in 2016 after having been installed in two-thirds of the active mobile devices of the firm of Cupertino in just twenty-seven days.
It soon reached 76% of the adoption in January and, as of September 6 this year, the Apple developer page indicated that 89% of the devices already had iOS 10, while 9% had iOS 9 and only 2% were in earlier versions.
Although iOS 10 was already installed in 30% of the mobile devices, iOS 11 is not negligible, because according to Mixpanel Trends it is already in 24.21% of the devices, while 70.78 % has iOS 10, and 5.01% still have previous versions installed.
Now, it is important to note that the apple company has managed to make software fragmentation over time, compared to operating systems like Android, where the difference is much more noticeable.
Of course, you have to keep in mind that the conditions are different, as there are much more Android devices than iOS on the market today.
