The fifth beta of iOS 11.4 and the rest of the operating systems with all its novelties is now available

Continuing with its usual launch program, Apple has just published a new version of the beta of iOS 11.4, macOS 10.13.5 tvOS 11.4 and watchOS 4.3.1 for developers. These new versions are currently in beta and may come to the final version in the coming weeks.

The changes of the new versions

Starting with iOS, this new version will come with new features in ClassKit, the Apple education framework. We also have in this new version some features that we saw in iOS 11.3 beta but that did not reach the final version. Some of these features are, for example, Messages in iCloud, AirPlay 2 or Apple TV available in the Casa app.

In macOS exactly the same happens, Apple has taken advantage of macOS High Sierra 10.13.5 to add again some functions that were not finally released in macOS 10.13.4, as is the case with Messages in iCloud. There are no other apparent changes and Apple has not given a detailed note of the changes in this version, so in principle, the news is limited to this.

In tvOS 11.4 AirPlay 2 is also recovered and as we have already indicated, the device appears in the Casa app. For its part, in watchOS 4.3.1 there are performance improvements and a new warning for non-native apps, indicating that they will stop working in future versions.

The update is available to all users who have a device registered as a developer. If you previously had an older version of iOS 11.4 or macOS 10.13.5 installed on your iPhone, iPad or Mac, the update will appear as available.

Most likely, between today and tomorrow, the public beta will also be released.
