Easy reach is a functionality introduced with the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus that despite not having so much impact, is of immense utility for many users.
And is that just by touching the Home button twice we can slide all the items on the screen to the bottom for easy access with one hand. With iOS 11 brings a couple of problems, but according to Apple, are working on it.
Currently, in iOS 11 Easy reach has two problems: we can not invoke the Notification Center from Easy reach and we can not call Easy reach from the Notification Center. In other words, we can not comfortably manage notifications with one hand as before.
According to MacRumors indicates, a user decided to contact Apple to ask for a solution. He sent the following email to Craig Federighi:
[perfectpullquote align=”full” cite=”” link=”” color=”” class=”” size=””] Since iOS 11 was released as a beta, the ability to invoke the Notification Center from the center of the screen with Easy Reach was removed. This was an incredibly useful feature since you did not have to try awkwardly to bring your thumb up to the top. If this was done by design, I do not see the purpose or benefit of its removal. If it is a mistake, I hope Apple can finally fix it. [/perfectpullquote]
To this, Craig replied with a brief “We’re fixing it!”. It is not very clear when the correction of this error will arrive, but surely it will be soon. Recall that with the feature of invoking multitasking 3D Touch happened exactly the same and yesterday we had it back with iOS 11.1.
