With the arrival of Android Oreo, there were two clear things: that people were going to give their opinion about its name and that manufacturers would go crazy to promise updates to some of their smartphones.
The latter is the phase in which we find ourselves, with the companies giving deadlines to send the OTA to their most relevant terminals.
One of these manufacturers is Honor, whose terminals are, for the most part, quite interesting and come with a competitive price.
Until now we had to know what their plans were for updates, but today it has been known that they will take Oreo to two of its current mobiles and have proposed to do so before the end of this year.
As stated in the XDA threads of Honor 6X and Honor 8 Pro, there was a meeting in New Delhi with the official team of the manufacturer and, as discussed on both sites, these two terminals will be updated to Android 8.0 Oreo before this year ends.
In the case of Honor 6X has put like term January of 2018, with what can be supposed that would come after the Honor 8 Pro.
Nevertheless, it is necessary to clarify that it is possible that more smartphones of the Chinese manufacturer see Android Oreo, as can be the powerful Honor 9.
We will have to wait for confirmation from the company of more terminals, but for the moment only these two are known and, of course, we will be attentive to see if they meet the deadlines.
