Apple will break one of its unwritten rules: another report augurs a thicker iPhone 7s

We saw it a few days ago but we had trouble thinking it was true. Apple has rarely made a new generation of iPhone thicker than the previous one.

However, it seems that this rule will break with the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus one. it will be slightly thicker than the current.

Techbuffalo has a new report with the possible real dimensions of the iPhone 7s and the iPhone 7s Plus. If true, the new models will be minimally thicker.

  • iPhone 7: 138.3 x 67.1 x 7.1 mm
  • iPhone 7 Plus: 158.2 x 77.9 x 7.3 mm
  • iPhone 7s: 138.44 x 67.26 x 7.21 mm
  • iPhone 7s Plus: 158.37 x 78.1 x 7.41 mm

This new thickness is due to the incorporation of the wireless load. This is actually an increase in thickness that street users will not notice.

However, that thickness of more is there and is the least curious. Apple did it previously with the iPhone 3G by the change of design and with the iPhone 6s by the incorporation of 3D Touch.

Apple is expected to introduce the new iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus in the next keynote, which may be on September 12, as we have seen.

In this event, Apple will also present the iPhone 8, the Apple Watch Series 3 and a new Apple TV with 4K and HDR support.
