Every quarter, Strategy Analytics publishes a report with the best-selling smartphones on the market.
This report gathers the sales of the last three months, and as expected, in the first three months of 2017, the iPhone 7 has been the best-selling phone, followed by the iPhone 7 Plus.
According to Strategy Analytics, in Q1 of 2017, a total of 353.3 million phones have been sold worldwide. Of those 353.3 million, a total of 21.5 million were the iPhone 7 and 17.4 million the iPhone 7 Plus.
The top 5 is completed by the Oppo R9s, the Samsung Galaxy J3, and the Samsung Galaxy J5.
Earlier this month, Apple announced its financial results. In them, we saw how the company sold a total of 50.8 million iPhone, but as usual, do not break down these sales by model or offering more details.
Those 11 million missing if we do accounts, could be in the iPhone SE or the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus.
The figures are certainly spectacular, but keep in mind that every year, Apple is going down in sales of the iPhone in the first quarter of the year.
Tim Cook himself has recognized this time, is due in particular to the rumors of the next iPhone, which allows many to buy a new one hoping for something better in September.
To give us an idea, rumors of the iPhone 8 began in 2015, shortly after the presentation of the iPhone 6s.
