In a few week’s time, the event will kick off in Spain to unveil this year’s mobile device offerings. Meanwhile, Nokia and HMD Global just announced their participation in the said event.
And rumor has it that these two companies will be unveiling new phones in addition to an homage to the legendary Nokia 3310.
According to VentureBeat, in addition to the Nokia 6, HMD Global will be unveiling two other phone during the MWC event. For those who do not know, Nokia released a new phone a few months ago, the Nokia 6.
This Android phone, running on the latest version of the operating system, is equipped with a Snapdragon 430. It is rumored that the other phone, the Nokia 5, will have the same processor but with a smaller system memory. Instead of the 4GB RAM like the Nokia 6, it will only have 2GB of RAM.
In addition to the smaller RAM, the Nokia 5 will also sport a smaller display.
The 5.2-inch screen will only have a 720-pixel resolution. On the imaging side, the phone will also get a less superior camera at the back. Instead of the 16-megapixel snapper, the Nokia 5 will get a 12-megapixel image sensor.
Finally, the third phone to be unveiled is the Nokia 3.
Rumored to be the cheapest of the three phones, this Android phone will feature further hardware downgrades compared to the first two phones mentioned.
To make the event even more interesting, both companies are now rumored to pay homage to the legendary phone of the past.
According to the same report from VentureBeat, the two companies will also unveil a phone reminiscent of the Nokia 3310. Only this time, the old-faithful will be reimagined in a totally modern way.
