After the delivery of the large iPad Pro was specified for a number of days with more than one week, the waiting time at the Apple Store now extended again. Who ordered today will have to wait two to three weeks.
A look at different regions, including Germany, the USA, Australia, UK, Japan or Canada, shows that currently several weeks on the delivery of the world’s 12.9″ iPad Pro will have to wait.
A query in the German Apple Stores also shows that the tablet is not available everywhere. Depending on the iPad model and store also needs to be serviced until 3 March.
As part of the presentation of the latest quarterly figures, Tim Cook said that they had underestimated the demand for iPads in the Christmas quarter, while had problems with a supplier.
Cook expects the iPad deficiency will not dissolve completely in the current quarter.
The reason for the long lead times, therefore, seems to lie in the production of tablets and does not indicate about an upcoming model change in this case.
Some observers suspect that Apple this year – as usual – could not think of new iPad models in the spring and possibly until the WWDC is ready in June.
A view of the current iOS 10.3 beta was previously also no evidence of new hardware.
According to the rumor, Apple work includes a new 10.5″ iPad Pro, which should have the same dimensions as the current 9.7-inch model, but have smaller margins between display and frame.
The large 12.9″ iPad Pro should further receive a True-Tone screen, which is already the little brother known.
