Google bought Eyefluence, a company that has developed eye-tracking technology.

Eyefluence, a company that has developed eye-tracking technology, announced that it has been acquired by Google.

Neither of the two sides gave no details about the amount paid.

Eyefluence was founded in 2013 and has received investments worth USD 21.6 million from Intel Capital, Jazz Venture Partners, Motorola Solutions Venture Capital Investment, and NHN.

Most likely Eyefluence developed technology will be used in devices for virtual reality and augmented reality, but also in possible future models of intelligent glasses.

The technology allows a user to navigate menus and make selections just by eye movement. Basically, a person’s eyes are used as a mouse.

As with other acquisitions made by Google, the Eyefluence company most likely will be closed, employees retrieve and technology embedded on company products services.
